Charles B. “Chip” Simmons, Jr.
Mr. Simmons is a Managing Partner of Clear Creek. Mr. Simmons sits on the Board of Directors of the following companies – AB Resources, Kerns Resources and Cayenne Oil & Gas – and also sits on the Board of Directors for the Pharos Fund family (Pharos Gas Investment Fund, Ltd., Pharos Russia Fund, Ltd., and Pharos Small Cap Fund, Ltd.). Prior to the formation of Clear Creek in 2006, Mr. Simmons was the Managing Partner of Alston & Bird’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. Mr. Simmons was an equity partner in the Capital Markets Group of Alston & Bird, a major U.S. law firm with an extensive national and international practice. Mr. Simmons received his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1987 and his B.A. degree with honors in Economics and Political Science, summa cum laude, from Yale University in 1984, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Neal D. Roy
Mr. Roy is a Managing Partner of Clear Creek. Mr. Roy sits on the Board of Directors of the following companies in which Clear Creek was instrumental in the acquisition, development and/or formation of such companies - AB Resources, Kerns Resources and Cayenne Oil & Gas – and also sits on the Board of BioEnergy International. Prior to the formation of Clear Creek in 2006, Mr. Roy was a Vice President at Reservoir Capital Group, a New York-based investment firm with approximately $4 billion of committed capital, where he was principally responsible for oil and gas-related investments. Prior to joining Reservoir, he was Vice President in the investment research department at Goldman, Sachs & Co, where he ran the Latin America energy and power group. Mr. Roy was previously a senior equity analyst at Indosuez Capital and a buy-side analyst for Merrill Lynch Asset Management. He received an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
